The holster throat, shank and curved hip plate have a steel lining, this gives a very solid structure to the holster. The holster is made to fit a Colt 1873 SAA with a 5.5 inch barrel but will also fit the Colt 1873 SAA with a 7.5 inch barrel as Steve McQueen used in the movie. The belt is 2.5 inches wide and has no cartridge loops as in the film and has the gun fighter stitch and strong nickel plated brass buckle, which is fixed on with Chicago screws so the buckle can be changed if you so wish.
